North Star Capital Management, LLC is a Registered Investment Advisor firm and is 100% owned by Hiroshi Hishida.  As an investment advisor, North Star has  legally binding fiduciary duty to put the client's interest above those of the firm and to make recommendations that are solely in the best interests of my clients.  Unlike a bank, broker or hedge fund, North Star does not have any conflicting loyalties to the firm.  There are not any conflicts of interest with commissions or any incentive to take unnecessary risk.

As part of our free services, North Star will give an analysis of an individual's current investment plan including a breakdown of all the funds in their retirement plans.  We also help create a personalized asset allocation plan tailored for their risk tolerance and investment objectives.  Ask us about a free analysis or for an independent second opinion.



If a client hires North Star as an asset manager, we will actively manage their assets.  North Star has created a daily leading indicator that attempts to identify where the economy is at in the business cycle:  Expansion, Peak, Recession, Trough, and Recovery.  Depending on the cycle, we can adjust the asset allocation accordingly.  For example, during the Recovery and Expansion periods, we could adjust the allocation to be more aggressive and even take on some leverage if the client desires.  Conversely, during a Recession, we could make the allocation more conservative, hedge positions or even go short according to the client's preferences.
